About Us
Hello!
My name is CaMee Nichols, and this is my husband Travis. I founded Yellowstone Doodles in 2018 and slowly each of my kids wanted to get involved. What started as my hobby has turned into a full-on family affair! Some of my kids own their own dogs and the others help love, play, and work with them.
Let me introduce everyone.
The Family
Mykelle & Jentry
These two are happily living on the family farm in Wyoming. Their two beautiful girls are Ozlyn and Adrielle. Ozzie dutifully helps Mykelle feed, water, and kennel dogs all at the ripe age of 2 and a half!
Mykelle does the finances, taxes, color genetics, and logistics for our business.
These guys own and love Lucy, Valya and Bandit
Porter
Porter is currently going to college at Brigham Young University down in Utah.
He is studying Manufacturing Engineering, trying to launch a laundry soap business (#FinallyClean for the win!) and is happy that social life is recovering from the Covid-19 years.
He co-owns Isabella with Tyler
Tyler
Tyler is also studying at BYU. He is our master salesman. He's been wheeling and dealing from the ripe age of 12. He even did the trade up challenge starting with a paperclip and ended up with a truck!
Right now he is studying civil engineering and business.
He co-owns Isabella with Porter
Preston & Benjamin
These boys are currently on a two year service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Preston is serving in Texas and Benjamin in Georgia. They are doing their best to teach people about our Savior Jesus Christ.
If you're interested in hearing a message, let us know!
Ruby is Preston's dog and Benjamin claims Bastya
Becca
Becca is living the high life of a sophomore girl. Lots of drama... but lots of new and exciting things! She enjoys high school sports, specifically volleyball, basketball, and track.
She is a daily doer for the dog business, the go to feeder/ puppy wrangler and lover.
Becca and I co-own Timber
Thomas
Thomas is our adventurous 11 year old boy. He loves being outside, playing with the neighbor boys, and building super intense Lego kits.
His favorite job to do outside for the dogs is pressure wash the kennels out. I mean what boy wouldn't love wielding the equivalent of his very own fire hose...
Thomas's favorite dog is Maverick.
OUR BEGINNING
We really like Yellowstone at our house, and because we're decently close, we've always called our Kennel that. Our name, Yellowstone Doodles, actually morphed from our previous name, Yellowstone Mastiffs. It has become sort of a hobby to provide other families with the same dogs we have come to know and love!
Yellowstone Mastiffs came into existence when my little boy Porter decided he wanted a “Mudge dog” after reading the iconic Henry and Mudge books.
We got our English Mastiff puppy, Tessy, and loved her to pieces. Pretty soon we also got us a Mudge dog named Aslan, and puppies followed suit. Thus, Yellowstone Mastiffs.
In 2016, after a long fun life on the farm, and with just as many adventures as Henry and Mudge, our beloved Aslan passed away. A year later we decided we needed a new fluffy friend. This go around we decided to do a little more research on dog breeds.
See, we have this problem. Our family LOVES animals… but my husband is severely allergic to any animal with fur. So consequentially, every time someone in our family so much as pet one of the dogs, a change of clothes and shower were required before they were allowed to join life in the house again.
As much as we loved our mastiffs we were leaning towards a more hypoallergenic dog. Let’s be honest, a shower EVERY time you touch a dog gets old really quick.
Well, somewhere in our research we stumbled upon the Goldendoodle. I fell in love with them. A golden retriever -- with all the awesome Golden Retriever characteristics and look-- and a Poodle -- which gives the dog hair instead of fur -- would keep my husband allergies in check and be absolutely perfect!
And she has been.
This is Izzy, our F2 Goldendoodle. She is everything our family has ever wanted in a pet!
Well, old habits die hard, and puppies are too dang cute.
Two years ago we decided to add more dogs to the family and provide individuals and families like you with the perfect fluffy companion!
We realize Goldendoodles might not be perfect for everyone, so we also have Bernedoodles, and Aussiedoodles to offer! Each of these dog breeds have their own beautiful personalities that suit the different needs of different people. We encourage you to go to their individual pages to learn more about them, and would love to answer any questions you have!
OUr Location
We are located in Lovell, Wyoming which is about two hours east of Yellowstone National Park’s east entrance. Our family and the dogs enjoy living on our 300 acre family farm that was homesteaded 4 generations ago!
Although we live in a rather remote place, our puppies have gone far. We are willing to work with you wherever you live! We love adding new locations to our puppies’ new home map below.
